Can't get to Base Station Management Tool

I just switched from Sprint to a cable modem and now
nothing is working right. My cable modem appears ready,
but it can't negotiate a connection. I think it has
something to do with switching from a static IP address
to a dynamic one, but I can't even get my Base Station
Management Tool to open to check that out. The option
is "grayed out"

Any suggestions?

PS, I am a novice at all of this.

Hi,

Try going to the Base Station Management tool from Internet Explorer.
Open up Internet Explorer and in the address part type in http://192.168.2.1
then hit enter.

Thanks Gary, I was up most of night trying to config base
station MN500 which I just purchased. The config utility
kept giving me the message that it couldn't complete the
config because of a firewall or antivirus software which
I removed and still got the message. If your method
hadn't worked it was return the router to the store. I
used your suggestion of accessing via IE and it worked
like a charm. many thanks again, now I'll keep this least
costly router.
