Can't find protman.dos

Attempting to install 3COM 3C905b-TX in a win98se
machine... have downloaded drivers from 3COM, but when
installing, am asked for the win98se cd for
several 'pieces' of the process... the first item which
cannot get past is the requirement for 'protman.dos',
which can find NOWHERE... HELP?

See if you have the Windows setup files (search for a folder containing
several dozen files that begin with WIN98 and end with the letters CAB) on
your hard drive, if you do you can tell the driver installer to look there
for the files it needs.

should be on the driver disk for the card...quite often it will ask for the
win cd but what it really needs are the drivers supplied

it almost sounds like you trying to install DOS drivers...
