Hi. I'm totally new to wireless networking. I just bought
a new computer and an MN-700, hoping that I could connect
to our current home computer. We have a cable modem
(Rogers Terayon) connection on our original PC, which is
running Windows 98. Trying to follow the instructions, I
put the installation CD for the MN-700 in, and started
setup. I then selected "Set up a product" and
clicked "Next". It went through installing some components
that were needed and reboots. Then just disappeared (i.e.
the wizard was no longer there and the computer was
functioning as if it had freshly booted. I assumed that I
needed to start the setup again. It started fine. I
selected "Set up a product" and clicked "Next". A dialog
showed briefly indicating "Loading Configuration Wizard"
and then the program just stopped again. The computer was
back in its normal state. It seems like I cannot start the
wizard and thus never get to the next state that the
documentation says will come up...namely "indicate what
you want to set up". I never can get there and thus I
cannot even get to base 1 where I can connect the actual
hardware.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the exact same problem. I was able to install my
base station manually (see Chapter 3 of the User's Guide),
but I can't install my wireless adapter for the life of
me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
