Can't connect in Redhat 7.3

Stats:

Cable modem
IBM ThinkPad G40
Broadcom Ethernet adapter (built in)
Works on Windows XP
No network options during setup
No network options in KDE

the broadcomm drivers were not available in 7.3 I believe. I don't even
think they existed when 7.3 was released, but not sure on the timing. You
will need to get them for your NIC.

I have a Broadcom 10/100/1000 card that was automatically detected and
correctly installed with 7.3. However, I downloaded and compiled the latest
module from the Broadcom website anyway. Unfortunately, I am not enough of
an expert to advise on installing the card from scratch, although the
Broadcom readme's might be that detailed (I don't remember).

Ok. Talked to a guy at work. The default drivers for RH7.x were a pain for
them. They ended up doing new installs of newer drivers to get it to work.
Unfortunately, I did not get details on it cuz they are scrambling around
making sure all of the systems are not compromised because of the newest
windows bug/virus.
