Hi,

I am having trouble connecting to the internet.

I have two computers one an HP Pavilion running Windows ME which has a
Netgear WGR614 router physically attached. The second computer is a
Packard Bell which has a Netgear wireless adapter card installed.

Everything was fine last night. Both computers could connect to the net.
This morning only the HP can connect. The other one says that it's
connected but there is are no packets being received. Everything AFAIK is

set up right, WEP, SSID, channel, MAC addys all match with the routers
settings.

Any ideas how I can fix this?

What are the TCP/IP settings on the wireless computer? Is it set for
DHCP? What OS is it running? Have you attempted to reboot it?

When you log in to the wireless router's config page, do you see that
the wireless computer listed in the DHCP clients table? Can you go to
dos from the wireless computer and run "ping x.x.x.x" where x.x.x.x is
the IP address of your wireless router?

In article <(E-Mail Removed)>, (E-Mail Removed) says...

|What are the TCP/IP settings on the wireless computer?

Not exactly sure what you mean by this.

|Is it set for
|DHCP?

Yes

|What OS is it running?

XP

|ave you attempted to reboot it?

Yep a few times.

|When you log in to the wireless router's config page, do you see that
|the wireless computer listed in the DHCP clients table?

The only DHCP things I see in the router's config pages are

Use router as DHCP server. Which is checked.
Starting IP Address xxx.xxx.x.x
Ending IP Address xxx.xxx.x.xx

|Can you go to
|dos from the wireless computer and run "ping x.x.x.x" where x.x.x.x is
|the IP address of your wireless router?

I get host unreachable when I ping the router from the wireless machine.

Try the following
1- Start--> Run --> type in "cmd" (without quotes).
2- Type in "ipconfig /renew"(without quotes).
This should take care of it...

Good luck
