can't connect to my wireless..pls help.

hi all, here's my problem. here i have a hp pavillion dv9210us laptop about 2
years old. everything was working just fine until recently. i can connect to
the internet via ethernet cable, however when i have to move my laptop around
to do some work my wireless connection no longer work. i mean the switch on
the front wont even work. normally when i slide the switch it would tell me
whether it's disabled or enabled but it doesn't.
i suspect that the problem is with the wireless adapter inside but that's
just my guess. i'm not an expert when it comes to troubleshooting computer.
any help would be greatly appreciated. lost my job so i'm going to try to
solve this problem with your help before i take it to a repair shop. thanks

Sounds like hardware. You can try a system restore and go back to
when things WERE working. Otherwise, most likely hardware. By the
way, this group is for the support of the (now discontinued)
Microsoft branded networking hardware.
