That's the default setting.
How did you determine NetBIOS over TCP/IP was disabled?
Was it a Service setting, in the NIC's properties or something else?
Is that on the DC and/or on the workstations?
Are there any other services disabled (either intentionally or
unintentionally?
Any Event viewer errors?
