Hello. I'm new to wireless. On my home network, I installed a
Netgear WG602v2 wireless access point and put a Netgear WG311T 108Mbps
card in my PC. I have a SonicWALL firewall appliance. So my network
looks like the following:
Netstream DSL modem --> SonicWALL SOHO3 firewall [192.168.4.1] -->
WG602v2 AP [192.168.4.2 AP] --> WG311T NIC [192.168.4.3]
I can access the Internet just fine using the wireless connection.
However, I can't browse into the admin web pages of either the
firewall or the access point from my PC over the wireless connection.
I have to run a crossover cable from NIC #2 in my PC to either device.
Also I can't ping either device unless wired directly.
Is wireless supposed to behave this way? I.e., you must have a wired
connection to administer or ping the AP?
Thanks.
