can't access the internet after changing nic card but can access networked pc's.

I have 3 computers networked through a linksys router
(mine, my wife's, and a spare). A DSL cable modem is
connected to the router giving all 3 computers access to
the internet. My wife's computers' nic card failed so I
pulled a card from my pc and put it in hers. It worked
fine. Since then I've installed a new nic card in my PC
and it will no longer connect to the internet, however, it
does see and can access the other 2 computers on the
network. The other 2 computers can see all the computers
on the network and connect to the internet. What am i
doing wrong?

I just went through this same thing myself. In my case, it turned out
that the old network adaptor was still listed in the network properties.
Once I removed it and rebooted, the new card worked just fine. I
think that having TCP/IP bound to both the old adaptor and the new
adaptor must have confused the system. LAN access worked, just like
your situtation, because I use NetBEUI for it.
