Can't access google uk via IE ?

I can't get to google.com or google.co.uk now via IE but can via firefox ?
Any ideas anyone ? No settings have changed so spywhere perhaps ?

Have you tried clearing the IE cache?
Does IE work with other sites?

I had the same problem last night - as did quite a few other people, it may
have had something to do with the Da Vinci competition they were running, I
managed access eventually sometime after 11.30 pm last night ( it went wrong
at 5.58pm just before the final clue was due to be posted)
