Cannot see network adapter in winipcfg

I'm trying to connect a win98 machine to an ADSL router wirelessly, I've
done other wired and wireless networking before but this one's got me
stumped and I don't really want to have to upgrade to XP. I'm using a US
Robotics PCI wireless card, it shows up fine in Device Manager and I can use
it's utility to 'connect' to my router, it shows a good strong signal.
However, when I use winipcfg it only shows the dial-up adapter and doesn't
give the wireless card as an option on the drop-down list. Even if I
disable the dial-up adapter in the hardware profile I still can't see my
network adapter.

Any suggestions very gratefully received.

1. Re-enable the dial-up adapter.

2. Go to Control Panel | Network.

3. Remove the network component "TCP/IP -> US Robotics PCI Wireless
Card" if it exists.

4. Install TCP/IP by clicking Add | Protocol | Add | Microsoft |
TCP/IP.

5. Reboot.

If that doesn't solve the problem, see if this helps:

I'll try that, if there are other TCP/IP entries such as for the dial-up
adapter should I remove them as well?

See if it works without removing the others. If it doesn't, remove
the others and see if that works.
