Hello vdz,
Make sure that you have the newest drivers for the NIC. Please post an unedited ipconfig /all from the problem machine and one from a running machine. Hello vdz,
Sometimes i saw problems when servers with Gigabit ethernet adapters are set to autonegotiation instead of fixed speed with the switches. If your NIC drivers are up to date i would truy this. Thank you very much Meinolf
With driver up-to-date, I'm trying to get updated one from ACER website but I have been struggling with that. I just installed the driver from the disc that came with the server we bought 3 years ago. The problem server one has 2 NICs and they're all Intell PRO/1000, not Gigabit adapte. I'll give it a try (fixed speed). Hello vdz,
Intell PRO/1000 = Gigabit or typo and you mean 100? Anyway, some switches have problems with the speed if not fixed. And if your drivers 3 years old i would look for updated ones. My apologies. I meant 1000 = Gigabit.
I've been looking for the updated driver one, but ACER seems to be a diffcult one unlike the other vendors. Thought I'ld keep you updated anyway. As yesterday I changed to the fixed speed, but the issue still persists. Cheers vdz "Meinolf Weber" wrote: > Hello vdz, > > Intell PRO/1000 = Gigabit or typo and you mean 100?
