I cannot ping or access any network resources trough vpn session

When I connect to my windows 2003 SBS SP1 trough a vpn I can ping both
network cards on the server. but when I want ping a different server, i get
a time out. Any ideas. there is no ISA , only RAS.

Hi there

If there is a firewall on the server that you are connecting to that might
be blocking you from going anywhere els but that server.Check the windows
firewall or any other firewall software that might be installed or active on
that server.Also you must be assigned an ip address that is on the same
network after you connected with the VPN.

The other reason might be that the other servers that you trying to connect
to have firewalls...

There is no firewall software installed , and the main server is a SBS 2003

Hi Dennis,

I faced the same situation a couple of weeks ago. I re-ran the wizard
"Configure Remote Access" and it solved the issue.

The SBS server appears to have both the internal and the external adapter on
the same subnet. This may be source of multiple issues:
