Cannot log on to workstation after switching from Domain to Workgr

We have a network of 30 workstations (mostly XP) and a 2003 server. While
investigating an outbreak of System Error 4321 (Name "ADOMAIN :0" could not
be registered) when workstations boot, I switched my workstation from domain
membership to workgroup membership and re-booted. Now the workstation does
not recognise my login or Administrator login.

Can I restore my workstation to domain membership from the 2003 server
(Active Directory says that it stil is in the domain)? Or get control of its
login process?
Excuse my ignorance I am a networking novice who has inherited Administrator
role!

Congrats, you've stumbled upon a very common problem which most
neophytes learn the hard way. All member servers and workstations
have a local SAM for authentication on a peer to peer level e.b., no
domain controller. Once you moved the machine out of the domain
you cannot use a domain account for local logon. Do you by chance
know the password for the local "administrator" account. If not you'll
need to recover it. There are multiple ways. Do a search on the inet
for "administrator password" and you'll find them.

Thanks for that.
I have found a cheap program at www.mirider.com/ntaccess.html which will
reset the local administrator password - if my predecessor didn't configure
secure encryption of account names and passwords.
But first I'll try his car registration code to save the 75euro!

Regards,

A $40 solution from www.password-changer.com fixed the problem in 5 minutes
from unzipping the download :-)
