I cannot log onto Windows XP (SP2) unless I unplug my Thomson SpeedTouch 121g
Wireless 802.11g USB Adapter. I just get a blank blue screen from which I can
only recover by restarting my nearly new Dell Dimension 5150C.
However, if I unplug the adapter I can log onto Windows with no problems at
all and the wireless network works just fine.
Although AOL support both my Router and Adapter products, they have told me
that they don't have the expertise on Windows and wireless adapters to help!
I would really apreciate any help

Hi

I can't you resolve your problems with your speedtouch but maybe I help you
to get your desktop back without doing a re-start.

Basically when you get your blank screen do CTRL-ALT-DE upon which you
should see windows task manager appear Then you need to click on 'file'
and then run 'new task (run)' and type in 'explorer' and click OK.
Hopefully you should now have your desktop back.

Have you tried installing the most recent drivers for your SpeedTouch
adapter? You can download the latest (R3.0.1 at the time of writing) driver
here:

http://www.speedtouch.com/support.htm

I would also visit:

http://www.windowsupdate.com

And ensure your system is fully patched.
