Linksys routers don't handle 'advanced' features like port forwarding
real well. I went thru a bunch of things trying to make a Linksys
work. Port forwarding and using the virtual host feature in Apache
are 2 things that I never did make work. (Don't ask me how it killed
vhost - but it did). I switched to a real firewall/router. If you
really need to make this work, contact linksys tech support and get
the newest firmware download. If (and it probably won't) that doesn't
do it, disassemble the firmware code and start patching.
IME, a Linksys 'router' is designed to be a NAT layer, any additional
functionality is accidental and subject to failure.

If you're not confused, you're not trying hard enough.
