Hi all,

I am currently trying to connect a ME system to my lan, without
success.

This is the best result I could get: obtaining an ip address from my
router, but still no connection to any networked computer, nor to the
internet.
Couldn't get a local ping nor to or from the computer, even to the
router from which it gets its ip.

I tried this:
- fixed & dynamic IPs
- manual dns config
- uninstall/install nic drivers & network components
- replacing the network card

I checked this:
- cable - works fine
- leds on nic & router - all normal
- dhcp allocation table on router - computer is correctly reported

I usually get the 'could'nt browse network' error message when trying
to browse the network, but depending on my actions the network
neighborhood may also remain blank, without any error.

When trying to connect to a website I get the error 'could not open
the specified page' or the default ie dnserror page. Connection
attempts often last 5 minutes.

I would appreciate any piece of advice.

Thanks,
Have fun.

Nico
