I'm having some trouble understanding what's going wrong.

A few computers in the domain, I attempt to connect to view the run dialog
or using net view. When I do, I recieve a standard can not connect dialog
box. In net view I receive system error 53. Both these indicate a computer is
not present. I am able to ping the machines. Now once I try the same
procedure from the machines in questions, I can connect and I can also go
back to my original machine and connect from there as well. I need to do this
from each machine however.

I did check the dns entries they all matched up fine to each IP. The
firewall was also disabled on both machines, and Microsoft file sharing
turned on, on the appropriate interface. I've tried the same on different
days and there had been no change. In some cases a DC/DNS/DHCP was able to
connect without issue to those PC's.

Any Ideas, anyone else have this happen.

You might post an unedited ipconfig /all from a server (a DC, ideally) and
one of the workstations - identifying which is which, obviously.
