Recently I change my connection to internet from wired to wireless. If use
WPA-AES I cannot connect to internet, error msg "Time out....". And if use
WPA-TKIP I get connect and disconnect unitl error msg "Time out....". Without
the security features no problem connecting to internet.
Can someone kindly help to secure the wireless connection.
OS is Windows ME.
Router is La Fornera
Adaptor is Buffalo USB 54Mbps.

Thanks

Hi Pat I am having a similar problem, but I am not able to buy the correct
Wireless USB network adapter, which one do you have? That might be the
problem, I purchased the Linksys Wireless USB Network Adapter for $60 and
when I installed the CD-Rom into my computer it said it wasn't compatible
with my OS, and I too have Windows Millenium. I called the Linksys company
and they said I needed a different version of the USB adapter, version 1. I
have not been able to find it and I saw some online at Overstock but I am not
sure if I should purchase it since I can't actually call anyone to find out
if it's really compatible. So maybe it's your USB that's giving you
problems.

Let me know if you have anymore insight.

Hi Kam, I am using Buffalo KG USB G54 adapter and according to the website -
it stated that "manager client 2" is workable with WinME. I can only connect
to the Buffalo router WHR G54S or La Fon using unsecured connection. But
cannot connect when apply WPA-AES. An other problem is that after installed
the driver, WinME cannot be shut down probably. After shut down, have to
manual press the power off button.

Hoping someone can direct to the 3rd party patch for WPA-AES for WinME.
