I am trying to access a terminal server from a remote location with two xp
workstations behind a Linksys DSL router.

1) I have established that I can connect to this Terminal Server via a
different but similar remote location setup.
2) I have established that I can connect through Port 3389 to a different
Terminal Server from the problem workstation.
3) I can ping the remote router from the workstation that connects thorugh
3389.
4) I can't ping the router from the one that doe not connect.
5) I can ping other remoter servers form this workstation also.
What can I try?

Examine the ACL on the remote router.
