I am currently running ME on my desktop & attempted to
link my laptop (w/XP) to it via a Genelink USB cable and
provided drivers. I followed all prompts but now I cannot
get AOL to connect on desktop (via modem). It dials
in,but will not connect, nor show phone #'s in connection
log box. mssg- " AMERICA ONLINE WAS UNABLE TO MAKE A
CONNECTION TO SERVER. PLEASE CHECK YOUR SETTINGS AND TRY
AGAIN.IF PROBLEM PERSISTS,PLEASE RESTART YOUR MACHINE AND
TRY AGAIN." I have uninstalled and reinstalled AOL and
the Genelink USB & drivers to no avail. At this point I'd
be happy to just get back to where I started!

Use System Restore to go back to a time before the failed USB
networking attempt. In Windows ME click Start | Programs |
Accessories | System Tools | System Restore.
