Cannot add TCP/IP Protocol Back

I can not add back my TCP/IP protocol to Windows ME. It shows up on the list of protocols, but will not add to my system. Even though it says I'm adding it

I've tried restoring NETTRANS.INF and the other recommended inf files, but still cannot add TCP/IP back.

Please suggest something
