Cannot access the internet with Netgear WG834T

I have recently got to Amilo Laptops, one slightly different to other
(the one in question is using Centrino connectivity). I have set up
successfully at home the Netgear Broadband router. The first laptop I
got to see the wireless connection and connect to the internet once I
manually enetered the Ip/DNS address.

However the second machine, i have followed exactly the same procedure
as above. Entered the router dns/ip address manually, and it connects
to it, but I cannot connect to the internet.

I have tried pining, no success, and not sure what the problem is.

Any advice?
