Cannot Access Firewall

I am trying to access my wife's computer on a home network. I can see my
computer from hers, but I can't see her's from my computer. I thought it
might be due to the Windows Firewall, but my computer will not let me access
it. When I try to access it, it replies "Windows caanot strrt the Windows
Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing service."

The network is configured so that my computer is connected to a wirless
D-Link hub connected to an RCA cable modem. My wife's computer accesses the
internet from a wireless receiver in a PCI slot.

I have uninstalled my Norton Systemworks, but still the same problem. Her
computer has her Windows Firewall de-activated, and her Norton Systemworks
protection de-activated.

We are both running Windows XP Pro with Service pack 2.

Any clues why my computer cannot access my firewall?
