Using more than one network protocol can make a Windows network
unreliable. Unless you have a specific need for NetBEUI, remove it
from both computers. If you keep both protocols, choose one for File
and Printer Sharing and un-bind sharing from the other one. I've
written a web page with details:
Windows XP Network Protocols
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/..._protocols.htm
If you get a prompt for the IPC$ password when accessing windows 2000,
create a user account on 2000 with the same user name and password
that you use to log onto windows mil.
If those tips don't solve the problem, please reply to this message in
the news group (not by E-mail) with more information to help other
people understand the problem:
How are you trying to access the windows 2000 computer's resources
from windows mil? What exactly happens when you do it? If there's an
error message, what exactly does it say?
