Hello,

My wife turned on the network password feature on our home
PC (which is not on a network) in an attempt to limit my
nephew's access. He no longer lives with us and I'm tired
of having to enter a password to continue the login
process. Can anyone tell me how to turn off the network
password feature? Thanks,

Shawn

Try;
Control Panel, passwords, remote administration
tab...remove the check mark.

Let me know if this works.

Go to Control Panel | Network and set the primary network logon to
Windows Logon. Reboot, and log on with a user name and no password.
It won't ask for a logon again.

Did having a network password work to limit your nephew's access? I
don't think so. You can click Cancel at the password prompt and still
use the computer.

Steve,

this solution worked exactly as you said it would. Thank
you so much. And yes you were right, it did not limit my
nephew's access. So we tried a trial copy of NetNanny. I
slowed down our access so bad and kept crashing IE, so we
got rid of it and just kept an eye on him and had to trust
him some. Anyway, thanks for your help.

Shawn.
