I recently got two domains, abc.com and xyz.com hosted with two
competlely different companies. I used wget to transfer files between
them for the past two weeks, but now I keep getting "Unable to connect
to remote host". The odd thing is this is true whether I use wget from
either domain. It appears wget has built in intelligence to
automatically 'ban' sites that it wget's too much from? All other sites
work fine, except my own?

by telneting to port 80?

For ping I am getting, ping: icmp open socket: Operation not permitted
telnet resolves the IP address but again times out without doing
anything. Looks like I can telnet to other sites though, like
apache.org .
Could this be a firewall issue?

Really? You must be one wealthy dude to buy the domainname of ABC, Inc., but
I suppose Michael Galassi would let xyz.com go for far, far less than what
you paid for abc.com.

Learn to use invalid TLDs, please.

Or a port forwarding issue if the router/firewall doesn't forward port 80
requests to the appropriate machine.

Possibly the ISP(s) is(are) blocking transport to port 80, if the Terms of
Service (TOS) prohibits customers from operating services such as a web
host, MTA etc. "tcptraceroute invalid.net" will report each network hop and
let you see where the failure is.
