Can I use 2 routers together?

I have been using a Vigor 2600 to connect 4 PC's. However I am about to add
another 2 PC's to my network.
Ideally I will pick up an 8 port switch and just connect it to my Draytek
Vigor.
In the meantime I have acquired a Vigor 2600G. Can I just simply connect the
two Vigor routers together which will give me the 6 ports I am looking for
or will this just create problems with 2 routers working together?

Thanks

Steven.

Yes, but first connect the second router to just a single PC (in place of
the first router). Use that PC to go to the (second) router's web
administration. Turn off the DHCP server, and assign a different LAN-side IP
address to the first router.

Sure, just turn the DHCP server on the secondary router off.

Notice: You "may" need a crossed network cable to connect the routers to
each other (will be obvious as with the wrong cable type the light for
the apropiate port will not come one)

Kind Regards

Malte

Just to be clear: yes, this will give you six ports, but you need to disable
the DHCP server and change the IP address of the second router to avoid
problems.

oh and no two devices on the network may have the same IP address - so
you will probaply have to change that too.
