Can SUS run on DC?

Can SUS run on a domain controller for w2k3 server? If I have a small
single server domain, do I have to add a 2nd server to run SUS?

Yes

No. One is all you need. Unless you have a big environment in which you
can "chain" them into an upstream/downstream configuration..
