I'd like to know what are methods of making your IP seen on the
internet if you're
in local network and you're connected to the internet through server
with firewall or proxy. Is it passible at all?.
What changes to the server configuration would have to be done to
achieve it?. Perhaps I should form the question in other way.
Is it possible to get active IP number without
changes to the server?. I heard something about VPN and tunelling.
Can it be used independently without ingerence into server side?.
I would like to create internet radio so I need IP
seen on the internet. But to get it my internet provider cries for
more money. Can I be seen by the outside world without paying rip-off
ransom for it?.

Yes : keep your dynamic ip and open up an account at dyndns.org for free.
When you want to reach your machine from outside, call
myradio.dyndns.org for instance and THEY do the mapping to your machine.

Of course, your machine regularly sends its ip to them via some script
daemon (look for ddclient for ex in google).

hope i was clear enough

You haven't given enough details about your present setup to get an
answer.

Is your connection to the internet dial-up? full-time with static IP?
full-time with dynamic IP?

Is the IP that you receive when you connect to the internet a routable
IP? Is it known to you? Is the device that connects to the internet
under your control? Is it, perhaps, a router that allows pass-through
connections to individual (non-routable) IP addresses on your LAN
(assuming you have LAN and a router)?

Most configurations will allow your machine to be seen on the
internet, but the method depends on the details of the connection
topology.

However, if your internet provider only gives you a non-routable IP
address (like 10.x.x.x, 192.168.x.x or 172.16.x.x), then the short
answer is no. I've never heard of an internet provider that did this,
but I guess it's possible.
