Can I improve this wifi setup

Hi All,

Below is a run down on my current wifi setup....

1) Omi directional 9db outdoor antenna on roof
2) 35ft LMR400 ultra low loss Cable
3) Buffalo air station wireless G router (high powered version with dd-wrt
firmware) set to 200mw output

Outdoor (line of sight) tests:

RX|TX the router using laptops built in wifi antenna from around 2.41km
away, with yagi 18 element beam I can RX|TX the router from around 8.04km
away, after that I can't TX back to the router, but can still RX it.

Indoor (line of sight) tests:

RX|TX to router using laptops built in wifi antenna from around 0.48km -/+
0.3km, with yagi 18 element beam I can RX|TX the router from 1.44km away
before I can't TX back to the router, but can still RX it.

My question, is this the best I can expect from this setup or can I improve
the indoor side?

The indoor side of it I would like to improve, I know an RF amplifier would
make a big difference but I prefer to use 200mw max. I'm thinking of an
antenna splitter and adding a 38 element loop yagi to point through my
estate allowing my family that live within the beam line (maximum 300yards
away) to connect to my network with a stronger indoor signal.

Well the record is supposed to be 125 miles for unamplified.

How they did it is here but they had the advantage of a desert with no
electrical interference and transmitting from the top of a mountain
using a 12ft dish.

You have a .78km long building and want to make it bigger? If so you can
afford fibre.

LOL, I wish but looking at the distance recard Conor posted a link to, my
wifi sucks :-/
