someone has networked into my computer and has made
themself the administrator on some programs. they have
disabled my "task manager", gotten into my "c" and often
change my desktop. is there a way to get them out and
lock them out?

Install a firewall. ZoneAlarm comes to the mind, or PC-Cillin
(which is a virus scanner bundled with a firewall).

At this point the only truly safe thing to do is start from scratch,
since you can't be certain you know precisely what has been affected.

When you do start over, consider using a safer OS (or staying off
the Internet if you must use an unsafe one).

concluded we must conceal our e-mail address. Our true address is the
mirror image of what you see before the "@" symbol. It's a shame such
steps are necessary. ...Charlie
