Can d-link 2100 AP work on 2.5ghz ?

hello guys, i saw a firmware than allow u to use d-link 2100 on 2.3ghz
is there any other one that make u use it on 2.5 or any other even?

Why would you want to use a DWL-2100AP to talk to an XM downlink?

I would be interested to know how a firmware change magically allows
an off frequency signal to make it through the ceramic bandpass filter
located between the diversity switch (antenna) and the RF chip.
