Can I connect a wired ethernet cable to my wireless PCI?

My question is this: If I install a wireless PCI adaptor into my PC
now, will I be able to use the same card to make a wired ethernet
connection to my wireless modem/router. i.e can a wireless card be used
in non-wireless mode?

TIA,

Ed

I doubt it - I can't think of any PCI cards which have both a wired Ethernet
port and a wireless aerial.

I remember a few very old Ethernet cards which had three ports: RJ45
(twisted-pair Ethernet, as used today), BNC (which used a cylindrical
bayonet connector) and thick Ethernet (which used a D connector similar to
an old-style joystick/MIDI connector).

However, if your PC is newer than about five years old, it will almost
certainly have an Ethernet port on the motherboard. Failing that, a separate
PCI Ethernet card should only cost a few quid - providing you've got a
vacant PCI slot to put it in.

Only if it also features a LAN port as well.

No - there is no connector for a cable. If your PC has a RJ45 socket,
you can put a cable into that from the router and it'll work fine.
