I am new to networking and need some help. I have setup a VPN Server
on Windows Server 2003 and have successfully connected to it from a
remote PC running Windows XP Professional. I am also able to use the
internet connection of the remote site (tracert). However, once
connected I am
unable to access any of the remote network resources (other than
internet) and am unable to ping any of the network pc's on the LAN. It
appears that
an IP address is being assigned correctly:
ipconfig /all (excerpt)
PPP adapter BSM (Server 3):
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : WAN (PPP/SLIP) Interface
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-53-45-00-00-00
Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.221
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.221
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
I have played with changing the DNS/WINS servers to be consistent with
the remote network as well but to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
