Can I connect to my home pc from work?

Since Broadband arrived in my rural village I obviously have my own IP
address.

I was wondering if it would ever be possible to access my home pc from
work - especially as a US Robotics router (USR9003) with a firewall sits
between the outside world and our two home pcs. All machines use Windows XP
as an operating system.

Any help appreciated.

You can connect to home if you're using XP Pro ia remote desktop. You have to
install the client software on the client PC (work) and activate some
settings in XP.

As for the firewall, I would hope it has settings that will alow incoming
traffic for Remote Desktop by enabling port 3389, I believe. I usea router
(D-Link) and have no problems at all with connectivity. There's also a ton of
posts in these newsgroups for Remote Desktop should you have problems.
