I have a PC connected by a wireless network to a Korg router.
I have XP SP2. If i enter the IP address for google in the browser then I
can bring up the www.google.co.uk. If I put www.google.co.uk into the browser
then it says web site not found.

I have firewall disabled. Our other PCs do not have a problem connecting to
the internet.

Something is blocking your access to a DNS server. It is the DNS server
that converts URLs to real IP addresses.
