Can a 4 way Router's USB connection be used with external HD?

I've bought an eBuyer all in one 4 way router with ADSL modem.
(in the process of installing the Ethernet cables at the moment & BB
connection is on order)

Was wondering if the USB connection on the router can be connected to a
large hard drive, so all networked PCs can us the drive as a sort of central
data store for files, music and picture sharing.

TIA
