Hi, I dont understand CAL's, do I have to purchase one CAL for each PC
connected to the network? So If i had 50 PC's connected to the server,
running Windows XP, does this mean I have to purchase 50 CAL's as well as
ones for the printer?

as much help would be much appreciated

There are Device CAL's and User CAL's.

A user CAL is per username (domain user), a device CAL is based on desktop
PC's/Laptops. So if you have users who share PC's get device CAL's to save
money or else get User CAL's.

The server license covers shared printers if they are shared on the
servers. No need for CAL's for the printer on the network.
