Cached network passwords in Server 2k3 Standard SP2

I recently took over administration on a machine (I'll call it server) that
is doing a file backup over network to a file server (I'll call it file
server). The server is in a workgroup and the file server is in a domain.
There is an account on the file server (I'll call it the backup accont) that
the server uses to authenticate, and somehow the password has been saved on
the server.

I am attempting to clean up the multiple network accounts, so I've disabled
the backup account. Whenever I try to browse to the file server, I get a
permissions error without it ever asking me to enter a username or password.
I cannot find where this information is saved. I have cleared all network
mappings, restarted the machine, looked everywhere I can think of.

Can I please get some ideas as to where to look for cached network
passwords? I'd like to simply clear the cache and just use a different
password to connect to the server.

Thanks!
