"CableNut" software screwed up my computer

My USB adapter was working fine but now after using this
CableNut software to speed up my connection, I can't
connect at all. Is the only way I can restore my default
network settings, to uninstall then install windows? I
tried installing windows again without uninstalling and it
didn't help.

Uninstall the CableNut software, then rebuild the TCP/IP network stack as
shown here:
