Loss appears to be caused on the wireless pci card pc. Cable modem looses
sync, and connection is lost to the wireless pci pc and to the wired pc.
Shutting down the wireless pc, modem resumes sync and the wired pc is ok.
The connection may last for 15 minutes or may be ok all day and night.
Frustrating. Any suggestions where to look? Thinking about tearing it all
down and doing a step by step reinstall.

if the modem is losing sync, that sounds like a problem with your cable
signal or the cable modem itself. I don't think its the router.

I would

What kind of cable modem do you have? I had this happen with a Motorola
SB5100 provided by Comcast. They sent a tech over one day, perhaps
corrected a few things, but soon afterwards this happened again. A week
later, they sent another tech and I insisted that they switch the cable
modem since they could not find anything else wrong. Ever since they
switched me to a different type of cable modem (RCA), I have not been
disconnected (although it feels a bit slower). You should look into
replacing the cable modem.
