I was wondering if anyone could assist me with the following scenario:

I have a single Windows 2003 forest/domain: acme.local
1st Server:
NetBIOS Name: SRV01
Windows 2003 Std Ed. w/ SP1
DC
GC
All FSMO Roles
DNS
WINS
Exchange 2003 Std Ed. w/ SP1
Enterprise Root CA for the domain

2nd Server:
NetBIOS Name: SRV02
Windows 2003 Std Ed. w/ SP1
DC
GC
DNS
WINS

First off, I need to migrate the Enterprise Root CA functionality from SRV01
to SRV02. I want SRV02 to become the Enterprise Root CA for the domain w/o
causing any "headaches" to my domain clients out there that already have
certificates issued to them from SRV01 (if it can even be done).
Secondly, after the migration, I need to upgrade SRV02 to Windows 2003
Enterprise Edition so I can take advantage of creating/issueing custom
Certitficate Templates. (Also, to apply machine certs via Group Policy)

Can anyone provide me with a step-by-step process on how to go about this? I
have migrated an Enterprisee Root CA from one box to another but the NetBIOS
names stayed the same. I am unsure on how to migrate when the NetBIOS names
are different and both boxes will remain on the network.

Thx
Joe
