I am working with the MN700 I get everything set up and
the connection jumps from 10mbps to 100 mbps and is
burning out my modems and I have gone in and changed the
settings on the base station from fastest to fast to try
to slow it down with no success can anyone help

Those speeds are for wired Network Interface Cards (NIC) on wire
connections. It should be no problem for the MN-700. If you're
transferring files, for instance, between two machines wired to the base
station, you really do want the 100 mbps speed. What do you mean "burning
out my modems?"

I just got this system not to long ago and on the main
computer wih the base station with nothing connected it
runs at 10mbps and i hook up the base station and it
jumps to 100mbps and shortly after i have everything
hooked up the modem just stops working and I talked to my
provider and they said the speed was to much and "burnin
the modem out"

Politely, they really don't know what they're talking about. NIC speed with
current cards is 10/100, adjusts automatically when the higher speed is
available, and has nothing to do with the modem. What type of modem are you
talking about?

The 100 Mbps is only till it reaches the router. The router the
connects at the slower 10 Mbps. that your broadband modem supports.
