Looking at your comment on NTL, I wouldnt recommend BD because they
are no different IMHO.
When I signed up with them March 04, it took 6 months to get
connected. In the meantime, the swap over from BT was set and I got
disconnected. 3 weeks later and the shakes setting in, I finally get
told "we are no longer offering the "primetime" product you ordered.
I eventually agree to pay £15 a month more for a similar (2mb) but
alltime connection (since I couldnt be without any longer. It was
agreed that for compensation, I would get 2 months free at the end on
my year.
In the meantime, I contacted them in March to look to upgrade. "It can
be done transparently" they claimed. So transparent, they have ignored
me! This week, I notice they have charged me twice (ie £80 in one
month) - and was going to call. 3 Days ago they contact me and tell me
its my lucky day, cos they are offering me an upgrade free! Except,
this offer was dearer than the one I signed for. (6 months @ £20 for
the ADSL instead of 12)
I tell the guy the whole sorry story and he tells me someone will call
me back shortly to discuss the over payment and teh fact "they have no
record of any 2 months free".
Oh, and when I told him they were also overcharging me, as the product
I am on is now £30 vice £40, he tells me I have to email. Whats the
point - they have NEVER answered one email I have sent them in the
past.
You can guess, no one has bothered to get back.
The guy I spoke to, tells me his name (when I asked for it) was Stan
Baldwin. Hmmm I wonder!
Luckily, I have an email from them regarding the 2 months - so if they
do try to charge - and also do not refund the double payment - they
will be in court.
Like I say, they are no differnt to "NTL Never Trust Liars", so if you
do go ahead, be it on your head.
I could offer my referral details - but I wouldnt sleep at night
knowing I had stiched someone up!
