Aren't their legacy "Primetime" products LLU based? In which case they'll
be neither IPStream nor DataStream.

yes, they do LLU in Central London on some exchanges, outside of that
its BT via datastream. The faster speeds and higher uploads are on
LLU. Their checker offers you 2M on a BT line barely capable of 512k
:-)

Primetime was available on both LLU exchanges and DataStream ones.

Bulldog even (accidentally I presume) provisioned some of their PrimeTime
customers via IPStream instead of DataStream (though those exchanges would
have been DataStreamed)

Assuming you are not on an LLU exchange, you can try the BT test login - if
that works you are on IPStream, if not (likely) than DataStream.

However are you sure you want to move?

Since Bulldog dropped the PrimeTime range - most existing PrimeTime
customers seem to be getting 2MB all the time (i.e. Bulldog seem to have
stopped time of day/bandwidth capping)

Regards
Sunil

http://www.adslguide.org.uk/tools/speedtest.asp measures throughput.
Modem should tell you line speed (hover over icon, view status page
etc)
