Hi current setup is 4 machines, hard wired to router.

All machines run XP Pro SP2.

I have decided its that time to reformat all the machines and do a
reinstall.

All together i have to setup 6 user accounts on each machine. Email, desktop
items, internet explorer homepage etc.

Is there any easy way to do this? Rather than individually?

TIA

Carl

If all four have identical hardware, you could set one machine up the way
you want it, then make a CD image of the harddrive using Norton Ghost.

The other 3 could then be cloned in a few minutes using the CD just like
using a store-bought PC recovery disk.

At the very minimum you would have to redefine the hostname of these
machines,
Maybe that's all you would need to do.

Doesn't that leave you with SID problems as they'll all be built with the
same SID.?

Nope, you sysprep the machine after you build it and then ghost it...

You do end up with the same Volume Serial Number but that CAN be an
advantage.

Because it is not unknown for software vendors to use it as the seed for a
registration key, to try to prevent you from moving the application between
machines.
