Buffalo and XP

Have a Buffalo WHR-G54S and several XP wireless clients. Occasionally,
one or more of the clients fail to connect to the Buffalo by timing out
with the "limited connectivity error". Restarting the Buffalo solves the
problem for that moment, but that's a hassle. Is there an answer to this
conundrum? The Buffalo's running the original software. Would DD-WRT or
others help? Is there a way to keep XP from timing out so quickly? Any
suggestions appreciated.
