BT Yahoo has no download caps and it does have a newserver including
binaries.

BT Broadband has download guidlines/caps (not enforced though) and no news
server

You may want to read http://www.adslguide.org.uk/ about other ADSL ISP's and
try a dial-up account on BTO to check it carries the newsgroups you want and
how complete they are..

BT Broadband have a 1GB limit (not currently enforced)

BT Yahoo/Openworld don't have such a limit.

....that they tell you about. I've got bt broadband, and I can use
news.btopenworld.com no problem at all- I use news.individual.net for
most things, but bt for binaries. I don't remember reading about the
cap- where is that documented?
