Found the following advice on a website
(http://www.customerchoice.co.uk/Maid...broadband.htm)...

"...You should also check this site for information about BT's self
install ADSL kits or the (for remote areas outside ADSL reach) BT
broadband satellite service...."

....the site in question had no mention of it! Does anyone know what it
is? Is it as the name suggests an answer for people who want fast
internet access, but live too far from thier telephone exchange?

Thanks

sounds like an obscure reference to BT's "Exchange Activate" which is
a mechanism for getting ADSL into an exchange BT don't plan to do
themselves (ie no trigger level set)

(note prices since reduced)
